Open Choice Retirement plans are modeled under a newer format of plan design called “open architecture,” where each piece of a plan can be custom-built to best meet the needs of an employer and their workforce. In an open architecture plan, the client isn’t locked into anything; they have choices and can trade out one or more of the four administrative roles as necessary to keep the plan working for them.
